Frequently Asked Questions
When can I expect to receive my order?
-
Then entire process of producing a bat is done by hand, which takes about 3 weeks to ship. When people ask if we use a "lathe that makes the bats for you," I hold up my hands and say, "Yes, these are my machine." That being said, all bats are hand turned from start to finish. We produce bats in the order we receive them. Every bat receives the same care and passion to produce the exact same bat time and time again so you get the same bat you have grown to love and trust when you step up to the plate.
Why is there a black dot on my handle?
-
The "Black dot" you see on your handle is placed between 12 and 14" from the bottom of the knob. This dot is an ink dot to test the straightness of grain on Maple and Birch bats. The straighter the grains, the straighter the ink dot. All Quinno maple and birch bats are tested for the same quality as MLB bats. The ink dot will bleed into the grains of the wood and they cannot be more than 3 degrees from the longitudinal plane of the bat.
-
HOW DO I KNOW YOU AREN'T JUST PUTTING AN INK DOT ON EVERY BAT?
-
Reputation is everything in wooden bats. If any of our bats do not pass the ink dot test, they are not sold, PERIOD. Our reputation and integrity lies within 3 degrees. When we say we use the best wood possible, we are! Our motto at Quinno Bats is simple and honest: The bat you swing is only as good as the wood it's turned from, that's why we use the highest quality wood possible. On every bat, it says, hand-turned pro lumber, because it is.

Do you offer returns or refunds?
-
The short answer, no. Wooden bats are a natural product. Your bat should last a long time if properly taken care of. If you swing at strikes your bat will last you a while. Most breaks happen when batters swing at balls. We pride ourselves on quality and pay a pretty penny for Grade A billets so you have the best wood possible.
Do you offer a warranty?
-
No.
Can my bat be more customized than what your website offers?
-
Yes. If you have an idea for your bat let us know what you want. The fun of turning bats is creating a bat our customers want. You can contact us at QuinnoBats@gmail.com. Most replies are within 4-6 hours or sooner.
